Mito Needs You! Please send us your videos

Thanks for coming to this special web page purely for our celebrity guests. We really appreciate your support and that you’re kindly helping us with your invaluable influence.

Our patron, Sky Sports News Editor Nick Powell has uploaded these videos to show you the kind of thing we’re looking for.

There are some examples in writing below too.

Help us in three easy steps…

Step One – Choose what you’ll say

Please feel free to put a personal slant on any of the example “mini scripts” below, or to mix, match, tweak or shorten them.

Or to visit our website www.mymitomission.uk and pick out any message there which you think will be useful for our PR.

We know the illness name isn’t easy to say! There are some pronunciation tips at the end if you’d like some.

Pronunciation tips:

mito: is as in ‘my toe’ – with the emphasis on the ‘my’

mitochondria / mitochondrial: as in ‘mita-cond-ria / mita-cond-real’ i.e. the ‘o’ becomes much less pronounced, the ‘h’ is silent and the emphasis is on the ‘cond’. Very much like the pronunciation of ‘hypochondria’ (unfortunate connection!)

Step Two – Send us your video(s)

Please send us your videos via direct message through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram

We’ll be thrilled to post them on our social media platforms.

Step Three – Post your video(s)

We’d also love you to post the video(s) on your social media. If you do, please:

  • Use @MyMitoMission, #MitochondrialDisease, #MitoMattersToMillions
