Hairless for Awareness!

It’s not just lighting up that our missions are helping to make happen for World Mito Week (19th-25th September).

Steph from Steph & Jake’s Mito Mission is having her head shaved, with just our logo ‘zap’ left! Jake and Dad Paul will have the ‘zap’ shaved in to the side of their heads.

All donations are gratefully received

Fly High Beautiful Laura

It is with incredible sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our ‘missionees’, Laura.
Our love and thoughts are with Dawn, Laura’s devoted mum, and all Laura’s family and friends at this time.
Laura’s mission and her legacy will live on and continue to raise hopes of treatments and a cure for mitochondrial disease which so tragically impacted her life.
Donations in Laura’s memory are very welcome. Fly high beautiful Laura.

Fab FUNdraising Friends Success

The global pandemic ruling out most events has seen charities needing to get more creative with their fundraising. We’re thrilled that our new monthly raffle on Facebook has been a great success, raising thousands of pounds for much needed mito research since it started in January.

We call the group ‘My Mito Mission’s Fab FUNdraising Friends’ and value each and every member. There are a maximum of 100 numbers sold monthly, so everyone with a number has at least a 1 in 100 chance of winning one of our 3 great prizes. And our first prize is valued at a fantastic £300!

As all the prizes so far have been donated by our wonderful supporters – EVERY SINGLE PENNY we’ve raised goes directly to our cause.

We’d love you to join us!

Litter Picking for Mito

One of our ‘missionee’ families is spending their Easter Holidays not only raising awareness for mito and funds for research – but clearing up their area too.

Regan of Regan’s Mito Mission is seriously affected by mito, and his siblings Kai and Laci to a lesser degree. This hasn’t stopped the family setting out to collect an amazing 50 large bags of litter from around their home in Cradley Heath, West Midlands.

You can find out more and sponsor them here.
