The Energy Ball – An Amazing Success

On Saturday 6th April The My Mito Mission Energy Ball took place at Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford.

The night started with a fantastic performance by the Rock Choir, who got the whole room energised.

While this was going on guests were able to place bids in the wonderful silent auction, take a look at our merchandise, buy raffle tickets and take part in the golf putting competition.

We also had fantastic entertainment from Lula Hooper and the show girls from Event Dancers UK.

Our chair and charity co-founder, Christine gave a wonderful, emotional speech which highlighted the vast number of people in the room that have been affected by mitochondrial disease in some way.

The night was a tremendous success raising a total of £10,385 all of which will go towards mitochondrial research, awareness and support.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our ball, everyone who helped out and of course Lula Hooper, The Rock Choir, the showgirls and Ben Eagle, our brilliant compere.

Another Amazing Year!

Last year proved to be a wonderful year for our charity. Of course, it was not without its devastation, as we lost two of our precious missionees, Brody in February and Ronni in July.

In tribute to Brody, Ronni and all the others lost to mito before them we carry on our mission with them all in our hearts.

Highlights of 2023 include:
9 new missions
Our very first charity ball
Our second My Mito Meet Up
Breaking the £100k barrier for funds raised to help us enable even more awareness, support and research.
… But there was an incredible amount more that we achieved with thanks to you, our supporters.

Let’s go from strength to strength in 2024!

My Mito Notelet Winners!

At our recent My Mito Meet Up we set a challenge for attendees to design a notelet to reflect and promote our charity. And wow, did they come up with some wonderful ideas!

As tricky as it was to choose our winners we finally settled on the stunning designs which will now be featured in our shop.

The first is our logo’s energy bolt drawn by Isabella aged 7, whose dad Eddie leads Eddie’s Mito Mission in Huddersfield. The second is a montage of mito related images created by Mark, Paige’s dad from Paige’s Mito Mission in Belfast.

Congratulations to all our entrants and especially to Isabella and Mark!
