The Energy Ball – An Amazing Success

On Saturday 6th April The My Mito Mission Energy Ball took place at Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford.

The night started with a fantastic performance by the Rock Choir, who got the whole room energised.

While this was going on guests were able to place bids in the wonderful silent auction, take a look at our merchandise, buy raffle tickets and take part in the golf putting competition.

We also had fantastic entertainment from Lula Hooper and the show girls from Event Dancers UK.

Our chair and charity co-founder, Christine gave a wonderful, emotional speech which highlighted the vast number of people in the room that have been affected by mitochondrial disease in some way.

The night was a tremendous success raising a total of £10,385 all of which will go towards mitochondrial research, awareness and support.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and supported our ball, everyone who helped out and of course Lula Hooper, The Rock Choir, the showgirls and Ben Eagle, our brilliant compere.

Wonderful World Mito Week 2023.

World Mito Week took place between 18th-24th September 2023. My Mito Mission had a bumper fundraising week to mark the occasion.

Steph & Jake’s Mito Mission had a fundraising and awareness day at their local Co-op and Ronni & Freddi’s Mito Mission held a Family Fun Day in memory of their precious boys.

Emma’s, Ella’s and Lucas’s Mito Missions took part in The Big Push for Mito 2023, which highlighted occasional wheelchair use as well as raising awareness of mitochondrial disease. Regan’s Mito Mission also did a 50k Walk in a Day to celebrate World Mito Week.

My Mito Mission also had some landmarks light up green to raise mito awareness. As well as The Oastler Building at Huddersfield University and Merry Hill Shopping Centre which lit up in 2022, we also had OVO Hydro and the Wallace Tower light up.

We are now looking forward to more buildings lighting up in 2024. Do you know of somewhere that can light up green to raise Mito awareness? If you do, get in touch!
